      Published 31/03/25

What a wonderful day we had celebrating World Book Day again this year. The children (and staff!) all looked fabulous in their costumes and pjs and we enjoyed lots of book related activities, including an author visit, virtual story times and “Drop Everything and Read”

We celebrate reading all of the time at Warberry, but it is so nice to enjoy a special day dedicated to our love of books. Huge thanks to the PTA for their book donations!

The Hawthorn class averaged 99% for their attendance over the half term leading up to Christmas which is absolutely incredible! Attendance is a key priority for us this year as our attendance in the last academic year was slightly below the Torbay, Trust and primary school national average.

Reverend John has asked us to thank the school and our families for their generous donation to the Church’s Christmas charities. Warberry school and our parents have raised approximately £70 which has been added to the collections from the church and in total they will be able to send about £1100 to the two charities: the money will be shared between the Exmouth charity ‘Christian Response to Eastern Europe’ (CR2EE) who send relief to Ukraine and Moldova; and ‘Compassion UK’ to their appeal for providing food for hungry people in Togo, West Africa. Thank you for your generosity!
