Year 6 present Mary poppins jnr

We can't really put into words how proud we were of the children during the performance of Mary Poppins on July 15th. After weeks of rehearsal, the show came together brilliantly on the night. Every child shone with their confidence and enjoyment. There were a few tears shed by school staff and families alike! A massive thank you to the PTA for supporting Year 6 in purchasing the show kit; to Mrs Pearce for creating so many stunning costumes; to Mrs Thomas for sewing a frankly ridiculous number of reversible waistcoats and to Mrs Smith's friends and family who got roped in to make, find or build everything else!  Also, to Churston Grammar School for the loan of the kites; to all our fantastic school staff who supported on the night in a million different ways; and finally, to Spires College for letting us use their space and technical equipment free of charge. All of these people enabled our Year 6 children to have a very special and magical night!

Thank you to all the families who came and supported the children and donated so generously at the refreshment stand that we raised just over £180!! This will go directly into supporting next year's performance.
